The 50th G7 Summit is slated to be at Borgo Egnazia, Fasano, Apulia, Italy, from June 13 to June 15, 2024. At this summit, leaders from the European Union, including the presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, will be joined by delegates from the G7 member states: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.​ 

Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister of Italy, personally welcomed PM Modi, with whom he talked about pushing the outcomes of India's G20 Presidency, especially with regard to the Global South. Modi thanked them for the invitation and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening India-Italy ties strategically.India's strategic significance in world affairs is highlighted by its invitation to the G7 Summit. India is becoming more and more acknowledged for its role in tackling global issues as a large democracy and economy. India's attendance at this prestigious summit gives it a chance to share its viewpoints and work with the most developed economies in the world.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with H.E Mr. Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Japan on June 14.The historic Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail project, which will result in India's next phase of mobility, the planned 5 trillion yen in Japanese investment in India between 2022 and 2027, and the India-Japan Industrial Competitiveness Partnership, which aims to transform our manufacturing cooperation, are just a few of the significant areas on which India and Japan are working together. The two prime ministers' meeting gave them the chance to discuss some of these current collaborative projects.
