The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has issued a vacancy notice for 1,913 assistant professors in various subjects. The online application process began on June 26, 2023, and will end on July 25, 2023. The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is a government agency in Rajasthan, India. It is responsible for conducting exams for various state post -  School teachers, assistant professors, medical doctors, engineers, accountants, and police officers. The RPSC was established in 1948 under the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Act 1948.RPSC is in Ajmer, Rajasthan. It has several regional offices in different parts of the state.

 Qualifications for the post of Assistant Professor are:

• The applicant must have completed postgraduate studies in the relevant field with at least 55% of the credits.
• Applicant must have passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) or earned a PhD. Degree.
•  Applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 40 as of July 1, 2023.

RPSC Assistant Professor Exam Pattern

The procedure for aptitude for the teaching position requires a written examination and an interview. The written test has 200 points and the interview has 24 points. 

Paper 1: General Studies of Rajasthan (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 1/3 Negative Marking)

 Paper 2: Specialization (100 Questions, 100 Marks, 1/3 Negative Marking)

 Interview: 24 Marks

 The total marks for the RPSC Assistant Professor Exam are 224. The minimum qualifying marks for the written examination are 35% for each paper and 40% overall. There will be a negative marking of 1/3 for each wrong answer.

Assistant Professor Salary

The salary range for an assistant professor position is Rs. 15,600-39,100 (level 10) in the salary matrix of the Government of Rajasthan. The probationary period for this position is one year.
