CENTRAL UNIVERSITIES COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CUCET):-

  CUCET is a common entrance test for admission to different programmes of 14 Central Universities and 4 State Universities which organize in all India.It provides a single window opportunity to the students to seek admission in these Participating Universities (PU) / Institute(s) across the country. 

1.The Central Universities were est deablished by the Parliament vide the Central University Act, 2009, with the objective of dissemination and advancement of knowledge to make special provisions for integrated courses, to educate and train manpower for the development of the country, to provide appropriate measure for promoting innovation in teaching-learning and to pay special attention to the improvement of social and economic conditions and welfare of the people, their intellectual, academic and cultural development.

3. For List of Programmes, their eligibility and number of seats offered by PU are different. so visit  all central universities website.

Basic Eligibilty- Postgraduate (50-55%) and NET/SET/GATE or other state or national level exam certificate.We mention the all universities link in end. 4. Reservation of seats as per Government of India (GoI)/ Participating Universities (PUs) Norms. Candidates are
strongly advised to refer to website of individual PU for reservation policy of respective University/Institute.


5. Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying for any programme, because different universities have different eligibility criteria for similar programmes. Hence, applicants will themselves be responsible if they opt for a programme for which they are not eligible.

 6. Applications should be submitted ONLINE only; OFFLINE applications will NOT be accepted.
 7. Applicants are required to have a valid personal email ID and mobile number which should be kept active during the entire admission process, so that the university may send alerts, important communications etc., regarding entrance test. Under no circumstances, the candidate share/mention his/her email ID with any other person as all communication will be made through e-mail and SMS.  Please ensure that DND (Do Not Disturb) is not activated
on your mobile.
 8. Applicants should be ready with his/her good quality and latest digital photograph (20 KB – 50 KB) and signature (10 KB - 50 KB) while feeling online form, more information regarding uploading photograph and signature are available on the CUCET website under guidelines to upload photograph and signature.


9. Applicants are required to fill carefully all details in the online application form without making any spelling mistakes. On submission of online application successfully, applicants can make the online payment for their selected programme.
  10. An applicant can fill the Application Form partially and login again to complete it as early as possible on or before the last date i.e. May 23th, 2020.

11. Test Centre cities – Each candidate should choose Test Centre City of his/her choice . Change of Test Centre City will not be permitted after submission of online Application Form. In case, less than 100 candidates register for a particular centre, or due to other administrative reasons, centre may be cancelled and the candidates will be required to appear at nearby centre allotted to him/her (as given by the candidate or decided by CUCET 2020).


12. Applicants will receive SMS and E-mail alerts at the time of registration and also after completing the registration.

15. An applicant can apply for payment through net-banking/debit/credit card/UPI.  (ii) GST and other taxes as applicable by Govt. of India/ Bank.

Exam Pattren For RP Programmes (PBT based):  -
i. Part A:
 Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude, analytical skills and Research Methodology– comprising of 50 MCQs 
 Part B: Domain Knowledge – comprising of 50 MCQs. 
ii. Applicant will have to choose one correct answer by clicking on the bubble in computer screen .
iii. No negative marking for research programmes of CUCET examination 2020.
 iv. Each paper will be only of 2Hours Duration.

 v. If an Entrance Test-paper contents X number of sections and an applicant is required to answer Y number of section but if an applicant attempt all „X‟ sections then best of „X‟ sections as per instructions on the question booklet will be considered for preparation of Merit list.

After CUCET-2020 result is declared, applicants will be allotted seats in order of merit in their respective programme and university/institute through online/offline counselling. The counselling session will be conducted at each university/institute separately and notified accordingly on their respective websites. There will beseparate fee for online counselling. Applicants are advised to visit the CUCET-2020 and respective PUs website
for admission counselling process.
