Essential Qualification -
- The candidates, applied/applying for the post of Assistant Professor in the disciplines of Applied Physics and Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing, Bio Technology, Polymer Science, Humanities (Economics and English) and Economics (USME) should be of Science and Humanities Background only.
- M.Sc./M.A./Master’s Degree in relevant branch with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and must have cleared NET conducted by UGC or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
- Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Ph.D. regulations 2009 may be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET. Further, a relaxation of 5% of marks shall be provided (from 55% to 50%) to all the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to September 19, 1991.
- Only those candidates who could not become eligible due to non-availability of 5% of marks relaxation (from 55% to 50%) in the Academic Qualification in earlier advertisements, may now apply online, if eligible, as per above relaxation in marks in Academic Qualification, provided they fulfill all other eligibility criteria as prescribed in the earlier advertisements.
Procedure for submission of application:
- The candidates are required to fill up the online application form and also submit the print out of the online application form along with the desired/relevant documents to claim their eligibility with prescribed fees.
- In case the candidate wishes to apply for more than one discipline, he/she should submit separate online application form along with requisite fees.
